FAQ
Questions, answered.
The Roomly app is free to download on the App Store. When you book, you pay the price of your stay plus a flat service fee based on the booking subtotal. Hosts pay a 10% commission on the paid bookings they receive.
Hotels, where you book a room in one of the hotel’s suites, and shortlets: studios, apartments, duplexes, bungalows, penthouses, villas, luxury homes, beach houses and shared spaces, in Nigeria.
Choose your dates, then book and pay through Paystack. The host then confirms your request. If the host does not confirm it in time, the booking is cancelled and your payment is fully refunded. You receive an email once your booking is confirmed.
Payments are processed by Paystack. The host’s share is held by Roomly and only released to them after your check-in date has passed.
You can cancel at least 24 hours before check-in. If you have paid, you receive a full refund, which usually takes 5–10 business days. If check-in is less than 24 hours away, contact Roomly support.
Yes, once per booking. You can request new dates for the same number of nights, at least 24 hours before check-in. The host approves or declines the request; if it is declined, your original dates stay in place.
Create an owner account as a hotel owner or a shortlet owner, then add your listing with photos, pricing and details. Roomly reviews every new listing before it goes live. If you edit a live listing, it goes back for review and is hidden until it is approved again.
Roomly takes a 10% commission on the booking subtotal (the nightly price × number of nights) of each paid booking, deducted from your payout. The guest service fee is paid by the guest and is not taken from your earnings.
When a guest pays, your share is credited to your pending balance. It becomes available after the guest’s check-in date passes, and you can withdraw it at any time to a Nigerian bank account verified through Paystack. Your wallet shows your pending and available balances and a ledger of every movement.
